Southport gets set for fireworks spectacular

The seaside town is gearing up for a spectacular fireworks display this weekend.

The event, which will take place on Saturday 2 November, will see the skies above Southport Pier light up with a dazzling array of colours and pyrotechnics.

The display will start at 7pm and is expected to last for around 20 minutes.

It will be set to music and will feature a variety of different fireworks, including rockets, shells, and Roman candles.

The best place to watch the display is from the promenade along Southport Pier.

However, there will also be good views from the beach and the town centre.
