Varga in Stable Condition, to Undergo Further Tests

Budapest, Hungary - Hungarian striker Barnabas Varga is in stable condition in hospital after suffering a serious head injury in a mid-air collision with Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn. The incident occurred during Hungary's final group match at the Euro 2024 tournament. Varga went down in the second half after an apparent clash with Gunn following a free kick. The Hungary forward was carried off on a stretcher and taken to a nearby hospital. Hungary captain Dominik Szoboszlai was left in tears after seeing his teammate suffer the injury. The Hungarian team went on to secure a late 1-0 win, which officially knocked Scotland out of the tournament. Varga's condition is stable, but he is expected to undergo further tests to assess the extent of his injury. The Hungarian Football Federation has released a statement saying that Varga is responsive and communicating with doctors. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
