Hungary Defeat Leaves Scots Needing Victory In Final Group Game

Scotland can prove doubters wrong and make Euro 2024 history

Hungary defeat leaves Scots needing victory in final group game

Midfielder McGinn: 'We've got the mentality and ability to make it happen'

WEB Scotland have the mentality and capability to prove people wrong by making history and staying in Euro 2024 promises midfielder John McGinn.

Hungary snatched a 100th-minute winner to beat Scotland 1-0 and put themselves in contention for a last-16 spot at Euro 2024 while condemning Steve Clarke's side to a second successive Group F defeat. Scotland's defensive options have been dealt a further blow with the news that Kieran Tierney has been ruled out of the remainder of the group stage, meaning they could be without three of their first-choice back four for the decisive clash against Croatia on Tuesday.

Tonight they have the opportunity to almost confirm progression from a tournament group for the first time with victory over Croatia, who would join them in the last 16 if they beat the Czech Republic in Glasgow.

Scotland is going head to head with Hungary starting on 23 Jun 2024 at 1900 UTC at MHP Arena stadium Stuttgart city Germany. Scotland vs Hungary is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off on Sunday June 23 2024 The match will take place at Stuttgart Arena.
