Sixers Announce Plans for New $1.3 Billion Arena by 2031

76 Place at Market East to Be Future Home of Philadelphia 76ers

Construction Expected to Begin in Several Years

Get ready, Philadelphia basketball fans! The Philadelphia 76ers have unveiled plans to build a brand-new $1.3 billion indoor arena in the heart of Center City Philadelphia by the 2031-32 season. The state-of-the-art facility, aptly named 76 Place at Market East, will become the future home of the iconic NBA franchise, marking a historic chapter in its legacy.

The new arena, not expected to break ground for several years, will replace the Wells Fargo Center, where the Sixers have played since 1996. The lease at Wells Fargo Center expires in 2031, setting the stage for the team's move to their new state-of-the-art home.

The project, which will be privately funded, is expected to transform the Center City landscape and provide a vibrant hub for sports, entertainment, and community events in Philadelphia.
