Derrick White and Boston Celtics Take Game 1 in Eastern Conference Semifinals

White Posts Career-High 38 Points in Celtics' 114-94 Victory

Boston Celtics guard Derrick White had a breakout performance in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, leading his team to a 114-94 victory over the Miami Heat.

White finished the game with a career-high 38 points, shooting an efficient 6-for-10 from the field, including 4-for-8 from three-point range. He also contributed 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 block in 33 minutes of action.

White's performance was particularly impressive considering that he had struggled in the playoffs prior to this season. In his previous 17 playoff games, he had averaged just 6.8 points per game.

With White leading the way, the Celtics were able to take control of the game early and never looked back. They shot 50.6% from the field as a team and hit 15 three-pointers.

The Heat were led by Jimmy Butler, who finished with 25 points and 8 rebounds. However, Butler was inefficient from the field, shooting just 8-for-23.

The Celtics will now look to take a 2-0 lead in the series when they host the Heat in Game 2 on Tuesday night.
